About Me

My name is Randall Mikulas and I'm a stay at home dad. Before I became a stay at home dad I had worked in various technical fields, visual effects & design fields, written for various small columns, and am now pursuing a career in the unknown.

3D Graphics

I have been involved, off & on, professionally in 3D Graphics since my days with Infini-D. In my spare time I consider myself a hobbyist working with programs like Poser 7, Carrara 7 Pro, Bryce, Pixelmator, and similar programs. My work with 3D is marginal at best however I am skilled with 2D programs such as Photoshop and Pixelmator which help in the post work done on my images.

Professional

I have worked for various companies ranging from print to television in the past as a Network Administrator, Sr. Web Department Manager, and Digital FX Designer. My specialities are specifically in Web Design & New Media but I like to venture away from those into other fields to broaden my perspective.

Personal

I am currently a stay at home dad and have been for many years. I have done a lot of freelance work as well as stock photography during this time. I am married and have a 7 year old daughter with a newborn son on the way.

My wife has been working from home for a number of years so we can both spend more time with our daughter and soon to be son as well. We are both avid World of Warcraft players in our spare time and have been playing for 4+ years. With the exception of my wife's work computer and our netbook, all of the computers in our house that we use are Macs.
